3 Days| Chimpanzee Trekking and Swamp / community Walk.

On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, our company representative will be waiting to meet you, have a pre-trip briefing and transfer you to Kibale NP. The trip from Kampala to Kibale on the newly constructed highway takes approximately 6 hours. There are beautiful sceneries on your way. Enjoy the ride!!! Kibale National Park boasts one of the highest concentrations and diversities of primates on the continent.  Within East Africa, the park supports the last significant expanse of pre-montane forest.  However, although most of the park consists of moist evergreen forest, its 795 square kilometers are home to a variety of Wildlife. You will have lunch in Fort Portal before proceeding to your lodge. 

After breakfast, it’s an early start to report to the briefing point at 0730 hours to take you through the Dos and Don’ts of Chimp trekking. These engaging apes, our closest living relative, are great fun to watch as they play and fight in the fruit trees. Your experienced guides will introduce you to the different members of the chimp families, as well as the birds and plant life of the forest. The trails through the forest are generally easy to navigate, and you are always accompanied by Rangers who will explain the fascinating traditional uses of the forest plant species. The forest elephant, smaller and hairier than its savannah counterpart, moves seasonally into areas of Kibale Forest.

After an early morning breakfast, your guide will lead you to Kibale Association for Rural Environment Development (KAFRED), where you will partake in a swamp walk through communities and gardens hence understanding the people’s way of life in the community, then back to your lodge where you prepare for the return journey to Entebbe
