or visit the reptile village.

through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle, famous for their incredibly long horns .You then ascend into the Kigezi highlands,
known as the "Switzerland of Africa", with terraced farming and mountain scenery and continue your drive on to Bwindi. – Journey Time| 9 hour drive with en-route
lunch
The highlight of your safari; a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Especially hikers will love the gorilla trekking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike; it may take two to eight hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. However, it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with
these giant apes. Sitting with the mountain gorilla is one of the most amazing wildlife experiences you will ever have. A dominant male silverback can weigh over 200
kgs and is the largest living primate. He will control your meeting as well as deciding when his group will eat, sleep and move on. His females care for their young
with affection and playfulness but also with discipline. They are very curious, and are capable of making over 25 different vocalizations, including chuckling and purring. Communication also includes posturing, chest beating and if all else fails the charge! The privilege of spending an hour with a family group is an experience
that will never fade. After your hour is up, you will find your way slowly out of the forest and back to the camp to chat about your amazing experience.
For the gorilla trek, please bring walking boots, or waterproof trainers and socks, long pants and a light, long sleeved shirt. Layers are best, as conditions in the
tropical rain forest can change from hot to wet and cold in an instant. Start with a long sleeved t-shirt and long pants, thick socks and boots; add a fleece and
rainproof jacket and you should be right for all conditions. Please choose khaki or muted colors to allow you to get closer to the wildlife. Bright colors advertise your
presence and make it more difficult to track game. Anti-histamine cream is useful if you get too close to any stinging nettles; the gorillas are immune to these, so
often choose this soft place to rest. Gloves can sometimes be a handy addition. A small daypack is very useful to carry water, lunch and cameras. The day can be a
long one but is 100% worth it. Photographing gorillas is allowed, but flash photography is prohibited. Anyone wishing to use a video camera must pay for a special
permit. After your long trek relax at the lodge or head out to the local community.
You will then go on to Bunyonyi to relax and unwind after the tedious hike. Lake Bunyonyi is in southwestern Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale, and it is close to
the border with Rwanda. The lake appears on the 5,000 Ugandan shilling notes under the title "Lake Bunyonyi and terraces". On arrival, clients may decide to do
optional activities at Lake Bunyonyi, which include canoeing, boat riding, and local tour, swimming, hiking the highlands around the lake, pygmy village tour and
birding.
Drive to Mbarara passing through the Switzerland of East Africa area (Kigezi) and eventually into Ankole Cattle country around Mbarara. These cattle are incredible
with horns larger than one can imagine. Continue to Lake Mburo National Park, game drive. The drive today is 6 to 7 hours. Lake Mburo National Park is a small park,
excellent for birding, antelope and other grazers, one of the only places to easily see Impala and zebra in Uganda. Game drives offer particularly picturesque game
viewing with the Park’s mixture of savannah, acacia woodlands, grassy valleys, rocky outcrops, swamps, lakes and rolling hills. Herds of impala (found nowhere else
in Uganda), buffalo and zebra, plus waterbuck and eland are amongst the variety of wildlife to be seen. Birders will enjoy the Park’s 310 recorded water and dry land
species. In this valley, we can operate night drives and walks. This is the only park where we will see Impala and Burchell’s Zebra. It is an excellent place for walking
and exploring a nearby Khopji to perhaps see Klipspringer – Game drive to the lodge.
Thereafter we take the unforgettable sun set boat cruise along the Lake Mburo and while on cruise expect the clear view and panoramic photographs of wildlife and
birds along the shores of the channel.
After breakfast, and then after we drive heading towards Kampala. En route, there is a local community popular for making local drums and crafts and a fruit market.
Stopover, admire and buy souvenirs. Proceed to the Equator line taken as one beautiful scenery in Africa – the pathway of the sun and take photographs.
